‘Midnight Radio‘

Acclaimed contemporary Jazz musicians Fini Bearman (vocalist and songwriter) and Tom Hewson (pianist and composer) are a perfect match as a songwriting duo. Inspired by Salman Rushdie’s ‘Midnight’s Children’, they’ve composed an evocative, quirky and eclectic set of songs for an ensemble of voice, piano, bass (Tom Herbert), percussion (Adriano Adewale) and cello. With intensely lyrical melodies, rich, melting harmonies and off-kilter hooks, the songs are hugely enjoyable to play and I feel very privileged to be in this group. We have recorded and performed at the Vortex Jazz Club, and we look forward to future performances!
