CLASSICAL + CONTEMPORARY CLASSICAL

Classically trained, with a passion for performing 20th and 21st Century Solo and Chamber music, I find it especially rewarding working closely with composers on new commissions!

RECORDING SESSIONS

You can hear my work as a session cellist, improviser and string arranger on an eclectic range of critically acclaimed records and Film and TV soundtracks. I have a home studio set up for remote recording when required.

TEACHING + OUTREACH

I am passionate about teaching and community work, with 12 years of experience teaching cello and piano and coaching string ensembles of all ages and abilities. I also enjoy co-leading creative workshops as an assistant musician!

JAZZ AND IMPROVISATION

I love playing in Contemporary Jazz and Improvisation ensembles including ‘Engines Orchestra’, ‘The Dissolute Society’, ‘Midnight Radio’ and with Jazz Vocalist and Songwriter Fini Bearman.

SONGWRITING AND COMPOSING

I have composed and performed my own songs and instrumental music for Cello, Piano, Voice and String Quartet. Cinematic, atmospheric and highly emotive in style, my compositions have been used to soundtrack dance, film and theatre.

CROSS-ARTS COLLABORATIONS

I have collaborated with choreographers, artists, film and theatre makers as an improvising cellist and composer in Research & Development projects and public performances. I have also enjoyed performing on stage as an actor-musician in immersive theatre and opera including Secret Cinema, Royal Opera House, Polka Theatre and Old Vic Vaults.
